Samouil Stoyanov

The Bulgarian-Austrian actor Samouil Stoyanov (1989, Sofia) was performing on stage as a dancer, musician and amateur actor from an early age. In 2011, he began his acting studies at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. From 2015 to 2020, Stoyanov was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Münchner Kammerspiele. At the Berlin Theatertreffen 2022, he was awarded the Alfred Kerr Actor Prize for his performance in the play "humanistää!" and at the Nestroy Prize 2022 he was voted "Best Actor" by the jury. Samouil Stoyanov has been a member of the ensemble at the Vienna Volkstheater since the 20/21 season. In addition to his work at the theater, he is also active in TV series and television films.
