Maria Muhar
Biography
Maria Muhar (1986, Vienna) is an author, cabaret artist and speaker. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and continued her studies at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, where she studied Language Arts (Creative Writing). Maria Muhar writes prose, poetry and various stage texts. Her debut novel "Lento Violento" was published in 2022; in the same year, her first cabaret program "Storno" premiered, which was awarded the Austrian Cabaret Prize in 2023. Most recently, her play "Wirecard: Last Exit Bad Vöslau" (concept: Blind Date Collaboration) was premiered at Theater am Werk under the direction of Marie-Christin Rissinger.
