Malarina

Biography

Marina Lacković (1990, Serbia), better known as Malarina, is a Serbian-Austrian cabaret artist. She emigrated from Serbia to Innsbruck with her family at the age of five as a child of guest workers. In 2011, Malarina moved to Vienna, where she studied comparative literature at the University of Vienna. In 2019, she was encouraged by Denice Bourbon from the Politically Correct Comedy Club (PCCC) to take to the stage. At the end of 2019, she wrote her cabaret solo debut "Serben sterben langsam" (Serbs die slowly), which she performed on stage at Kabarett Niedermair, among others. For her politically pleasantly incorrect and sharp-tongued program "Serben sterben langsam", Malarina was awarded the Austrian Cabaret Prize in 2022, followed by the Salzburg Bull and even the German Cabaret Prize.
