Mahin Sadri

The Iranian playwright, theater and film director, screenwriter and journalist Mahin Sadri began to discover poetic writing at a young age. She also became interested in writing for the cinema, later winning the prize for best screenplay in the youth film competition and making her first short film at the age of 21. During her German studies, she not only worked as a journalist, but also collaborated with Amir Reza Koohestani and the Mehr Theatre Group on worldwide performances, initially as an assistant director and subsequently as a writer and director. In 2013, she began not only writing for other directors, but also staging her own plays. With her third play “Acclimatization”, she won the prize for best play at the Fajr International Theater Festival the following year. Mahin Sadri is constantly writing scripts, producing short films and working as an editor in various films.
