Kurdwin Ayub
Biography
Kurdwin Ayub (1990, Iraq) is a director and screenwriter. She studied painting and experimental animated film at the University of Applied Arts and performative art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Her short films have been shown at national and international festivals since 2010 and have won several awards. Kurdwin Ayub’s first fiction feature "Sonne" had its world premiere at the 72th Berlinale and won the GWFF Best First Feature Award. She lives and works in Vienna.
