DJ Masha Dabelka
Biography
Mariya Aleynikova aka DJ Masha Dabelka was trained in classical music in Novosibirsk, Siberia. She came to Vienna in 2007 via the women's network "Femal Pressure" initiated by Electric Indigo. Aleynikova studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, worked in the sound lab there and has been working at the crossroads between art and pop, between high culture and underground ever since. Under her DJ name Masha Dabelka, she she took to the turntables many years ago and founded "Turntablista", a DJ school for women with the aim of creating a strong female role model for aspiring female musicians.
