Birgit Minichmayr

Birgit Minichmayr (1977, Linz) studied acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. She was already hired at the Vienna Burgtheater during her studies. After a Frank Castorf production at the Ruhrfestspiele in Recklinghausen, she joined Castorf at the Volksbühne in Berlin in 2004. She returned to the Burgtheater in 2007 before moving to the Munich Residenztheater in 2011, after which she worked freelance. The multiple award-winning actress, including the Ulrich Wildgruber Prize and the Nestroy Theater Prize, has also appeared in numerous films. Birgit Minichmayr has been a permanent member of the Burgtheater ensemble again since the 2019/20 season.
